Set amidst the aisles and routine of a supermarket where bored shift workers cross over but never meet, Closer is a moment in the lives of two, a female security guard and a shelf-stacker. Working the same place but different shifts, a monotonous and lonely existence, they begin leaving cleverly conceived messages, at first to amuse themselves and then, in turn, each other. Never having met, they build up an ideal image of each other and a possible relationship. Then they meet.
